Tandoori Lamb Chops

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound lamb chops

  • 1 cup yogurt

  • 1 Tablespoon of ginger and garlic paste

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 Tablespoon of Tandoori Masala (I used @rajRajah Tandoori Masala)

  • 2 tsp of kashmiri red chili powder

  • 1 tsp of coriander powder

  • 1 tsp of Garam Masala

  • 2 tsp of chaat masala

  • 2 tablespoons of oil

  • Juice of 1 fresh lemon juice

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

This lamb chop recipe is going to make you a star at your next dinner party! They are marinated in tandoori masala and cooked in the oven to perfection! You can enjoy them with mint chutney and tandoori roti!

METHOD

  1. Depending on your lamb chop you may have to use a meat pounder to thin it out
  2. Using a paring knife cut a few 1/4 inch slashes in each lamb chop
  3. In a bowl mix all the ingredients together to form a tandoori paste and marinade the chops for at least 3-4 hours (overnight is better)
    TIP: make sure you bring the lamb chops to room temperature before baking the
  4. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
  5. Cook the lamb chops for about 30 minutes. You want to make sure to baste them with butter every 7-10 minutes to retain their moisture
  6. You can cook for less or more depending on how you like your lamb chops.
